Dance L.A., is a blog that discusses the state of dance in Los Angeles. It features upcoming shows and events, interviews with dancers and choreographers in the dance community, as well as daily posts about dance auditions and other general news.
Dance L.A. Inc. was founded by Courtney Myers in January of 2011. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Courtney studied English, Journalism and Dance, spending much of her time in the LMU dance office as a student worker. It was here that she got the idea to develop Dance L.A., after noticing a need in the dance community for a platform that would advertise and promote the artists around the greater Los Angeles Area. Courtney has danced with renowned dancers and choreographers in L.A., studying under Patrick Damon Rago, Chad Michael Hall, Holly Johnston, Rogelio Lopez, Mike Esperanza, Paige Porter, Tekla Kostek, Scott Heinzerling, and Sophie Monat.
